I do this to both my cars annually and there ain't nothing that will touch a small steam cleaner from Harbor Freight, it was around $89 with a coupon, 10 yrs old and still works perfectly. Not much there to break. Cover any electrical parts loosely with plastic bags and the heat from the steam cleaner just melts off oil and grim turning them back to OEM black. It would be hard to damage an engine with just hot steam.Hello Mav Fam, I want to clean the dirt and dust from my 22 XLT Hybrid engine, but I have no Idea what item to cover when k house it down, any help with a pic would be most appreciated.
Thanks
My 200,000 mile Honda ELement engine looks about like it did when I bought it. When finished, it's available for bathroom showers, upholstery, carpet, all things that get dirty. Real dirty stuff I spray with SimpleGreen or 409 first. My pressure washer has paid for itself 3 or 4 times.
