First few days it was ok, now I'm ready to find a way to change the exhaust sound.

There’s a performance shop in Ohio that has several posts out here. Lookup Buschur or cat back 3”.

It's what you get with these tiny 4 cylinder engines. I though Buscher's catback sounded ok, but I don't really care enough to make the change. Gimme quiet.

I like the truck but the actual sounds of the engine coming from the engine compartment sound like $hit.

Install an intake and exhaust. Should change the sound quite a bit

This is hands down the worst sounding engine I have ever owned. I'll probably go deaf because I have to turn up the stereo to drown out the ticking from the direct injection.

Yeah very true on the ticking also.

I’ve walked by a bronco sport and heard the ticking. It didn’t sound good at all and it was just sitting there running (cue the direct injection fanboys). I am happy to hear the groan of a hybrid over the chatter of a direct injection turbo.

I would install a boat load of soundproofing. Under the hood, firewall, doors, floor, maybe the roof, everywhere.

I’m thinking of adding some soundproofing to the hood because, yeah, not an impressive sounding engine for sure.

I can’t explain how badly I want a VTA DV to bring me back to the days I had a SRT4 lol
I might be older now but the kid in me still lingers lol
