On further investigation into the situation, all evidence I can find from Ford Customer Service points to you being right. I can't get my 2022 (which I knew by this point), and there's no way to convert the 2022 order to a 2023 either (which I didn't know for certain until talking to them again tonight).

It's disgusting, really. This dealer isn't even doing it out of greed: lying to me so they could get my truck and mark it up over MSRP for another customer. My order won't be built. It's just either incompetence or laziness or even weirder...they don't want my money?

Ford corporate shares the blame as well for changing the rules seemingly every three weeks...whether it be allocations or allowing uneven treatment of customers with priority codes or the very short length of time they gave dealers to convert 2022 orders to 2023 orders.

Ah well...I've heard rumors Toyota might bring out a small truck at some point.

The idea of getting a Maverick was fun while it lasted.
I can feel your frustration. I was in your boat this January. But a little bit more fortunate than you.

I wanted to support my local business so I went to my neighborhood Ford dealer and ordered my first Maverick. The salesman should have known the deal because he already got himself one. But I just didn't get the confirmation email from Ford like everyone else got. I asked him a couple times over a period of several weeks. But ever time he and his manager just told me everything was fine.

By the deadline of ordering came closing, I became more and more suspicious about what they told me. Thus I rushed and ordered one from Granger on the last day (01/27) to hedge my risk -- thanks for this club to get me know the existence of Granger 1000 miles away from me.

Later on, I contacted Ford and found that my local dealer never confirmed my order at all! You thought they would have at least checked after I told them time after time I didn't received the confirmation.

After I collected my deposit and said the fake "thank you" and walked out of their door. I said silently "thanks but no thanks"! Any business, no matter where it is, needs to be earned.

Long McArthur has several on the lot for sale. They are marked up $5000.00, but aren't selling. Shoot Tim an offer, you might be surprised.

Would be interesting to see how low they'd go. I think $1,500-$2,000 is a reasonable price to pay for the ability to get a truck today that otherwise is going to take you 6-12 months to obtain, assuming you even have an order!

The week of 24th per the e-mail received at the start of the month from Ford; the window sticker was available to be viewed on Monday the 24th. That, after 2 build date reschedules.

Did you have Lux or stand alone SIBL? (I ask as that item has been a delay in the build process (allegedly the truck has to go to another site for that work) and if you did and got built that quickly that is a good sign)

My build date is 11/1 this coming Tuesday, but I’m concerned about how long it will take because it’s getting the LUX with the spray in liner. I thought delivery by Thanksgiving but as your delivery seems about then, mine will have to be in early December. Enjoy your truck.

I might allow myself to get a little excited. Downloaded my window sticker again and my blend sequence number has changed as well as my production sequence number.

Mine is now showing 56/900. Not sure why it changed or why it seems to be different from others. I hope I haven't been pushed back again.
