You meant why not go for 25 model? Main reason is the "buttons", I really like physical buttons, I think Toyota is the one that trying to keep as much as physical buttons they can

Second is the price, a little cheaper, especially, power strain is still nearly identical.
No - when did you get your truck?

oh, last month, probably April 17th , then next day, the E-parking malfunction locked me in parking lot after evening shift for more than 1 hour, somehow, managed to disable it, next day, it came back again, tow to dealer, they watched ~ 4 day, gave back me,

I have been driving it happily until this Wednesday, same issue, E-parking could not be disengaged, locked the truck completely.

Ok, so a stop sale order on 24's from about Oct IIRC to abouts mid-March.
Would that dealer have gone out and kept the battery charged for 5 months?
Or let them drain to dead, and put on maintainer/charger during the time needed for the rear view camera software upgrade recall?
Would they have charged it up then?
Or call it good enough during the upgrade, until you bought it?

Just to stop the aggravation and waste of time, and you have a battery charger - you might want to see if a good charge helps at this point.
Sounds like it can't maintain a charge overnight, like a bad battery.
Charge it up, disconnect the negative post for about 5 min, reconnect.
Let it sit overnight locked.

If still the next day an issue - ask them how long truck sat on lot, did they charge the battery, and you need full load test done.
Explained what you just did to no avail.

But hopefully your process will have fixed it.
But a full long term drain on a cheap battery during the winter - eh...

Right now, truck is in dealer's hand. I can only wait.

I believed they did very rigorous battery test last time when they had it for four days, by then, they said it was all good to go. I mentioned if they could put on new battery, they refused and not happy with my request, also said, no battery recall related my model.

That's correct - there isn't a recall.

And yeah they won't eat the cost of a battery until it meets the requirements for bad, to be covered under warranty.

You can request the last test print-out slip that gave the figures, so you have something to compare later.
Should be kept in your file. Though they may have uploaded the service record with that info, so you can see it from your Ford account, online or in Fordpass app, which should also describe what kind of test they did.

update:

Dealer said : they ordered the brake booster, think that is the cause.

I remembered one guy in this forum mentioned his 25 truck had the same issue and fixed after replacing the brake booster, hopefully, mine is the same .

Hmmm - the brake booster used for normal presses of the brake pedal past regen.
And auto-hold situations, slope or setting.

EPB with it's activated piston motors - hmmm.

Please keep us informed.

This morning, when I was about to drop my daughter to school, the car locked on E-parking malfunction AGAIN, only three weeks from last "fix" in dealer ! I felt angry and frustrated, with my wife and my old daughter all have gone to work, I have to drive a half way fixed old car to manage to drive my daughter to school.

So, called the dealer morning, they want to be towed, and check again, because it needs to be lifted up on four wheel for towing, no way to put on neutral due to hybrid and E-parking things, on my drive way, it is not easy to maneuver on four wheels for towing, last time, it really took a while. I asked dealer if they know some "trick", I could disable the E-parking temporarily, then, I could drive to the dealer. They just don't know !

Anyway, last time, the "fix" is kind of charging the battery to full, then reset, then watched three days, it was good to go. I did measure the battery, it says 12.08 ~ 12.12v, which is low, shall be > 12.35V, right? Also, if it is due to battery, why Ford can not fix it ??

To be honest, other than this E-parking malfunction, it has been fun to drive the maverick, not under power, nimble, size is perfect, very impressive mileage.. Just this, really annoyed, it affects my whole working schedule and others !!
I miss the manual hand brake. And, other simple manual things.

Was speaking to a service advisor yesterday on a different subject, he mentioned off hand that they had a Maverick with a parking brake fault, and it was difficult to diagnose. Apparently the issue was in the wiring harness at the firewall.

Hopefully yours is sorted soon.

Cheers.

Oh, it sounds not rare problems 😔

I got car back yesterday about 6 pm before dealer closed. So far, it is all good, they changed a brake booster, I have not dig into their reports. I checked the battery though, it is now 100% soh, 100% SOC, 12.7v or 14.56v when car is on

Make sure you park the truck locked tonight if you didn't last night - for the BMS relearn they didn't have time for, which is supposed to be done after a charge up.
