I've had several instances in which only the driver's side door has mysteriously locked itself. i had not used either the fob or inside the door lock button. No other doors nor the tailgate were locked. it even has happened with the windows down?

Anyone else experience this?

There have been some others, look down at the bottom of this page for another thread. I think there are more elsewhere too!

There are few threads here attempting to dig into this more. General consensus bounces between user error and weird bug depending on someones general willingness to believe something can be their fault. https://www.mavericktruckclub.com/forum/threads/drivers-door-locks-on-its-own.49831/

Not the power button - the manual push/pull lever just above the door opening lever. It's black, hard to see and often bumped when pushing the door open.

This is the most common reason, but some report they're not hitting the manual Lock lever.

Search the forum thread titles for many existing & lengthy discussions of this.

That button locks all the doors.

I have this problem. It's "user error" in my case. When I open the door, my hand bumps the lock. Nothing that the truck is doing. It's the nut behind the wheel.

That button locks all the doors.
The electric power lock button locks all the doors where the manual "lock/unlock only this door" toggle next to the "open only this door" lever is the one that can be accidently toggled to the lock position.

RE: Drivers door only locked = Yes, I had several instances of this both in my 2022 EB and in my 2024 hybrid.

I concluded it is user error. I noted how I grasped the door lever. I tend to roll my hand to the left and inadvertently engage the lock lever that is just above the door lever. It doesn't take much pressure.

Do a few tests and you will see how easy it is to nudge the lock button in and lock the door. Especially if you are in a hurry or parked on a slight incline where the driver's door is uphill.

I tried the front passenger door with the same results.

My conclusion: User induced.

Thanks for clearing things up. I just dope slapped myself. Truck is new to me, didn't even realize there was a manual lock button. So of course never used it. And yes, it is easy to hit it by mistake when exiting.

Doesn't happen to me. I paid attention on how I open the doors. I raise my arm up and put my pinkie finger behind the lever and push the door open with my elbow. My hand stays away from the push to lock thingie!.🤗
