Driver Doors won't unlock when i grab the door handle

Hi.

2022 lariat first edition.

(Only) the driver door won't unlock/lock wen I touch it. The front passager door work , the lock/unlock on the key fob work , the truck start. Every work except the fricking driver door touch function.

There's a TSB to reprogram the BCM. In the interim in the settings screen you can disable and re-enable intelligent access and it should fix it temporarily.

2022 Maverick - Front Driver Door Can Not Be Unlocked Using Intelligent Access - Built On Or Before 13-May-2022

Some 2022 Maverick vehicles built on or before 13-May-2022 may exhibit a condition where the front driver door can not be unlocked using the intelligent access (passive entry feature). This may be due to the software in the body control module (BCM). To correct the condition, reprogram the BCM module using the latest software level of the Ford Diagnosis and Repair System (FDRS). For claiming, use causal part 15604 and applicable labor operations in Section 10 of the Service Labor Time Standards (SLTS) Manual.

This seams to be a problem with trucks built before May 13th 2022. The fix is that the BCM (body control module) has to be reprogrammed with the latest software. I'm hoping they can fix my truck when I bring it in for the recall on Sept. 21st.

Hybrid FE lariat, just yesterday I noticed that I had to place my hand closer to the right most end of handle for it to detect my hand. OR possibly the fob in my right pants pocket was too far from the door sensor as I was in a parking lot opening the door with my left hand so it could possibly be too far away or signal was being partially blocked also. Will check today. Will also check 12v battery voltage, just in case.

On the Steering wheel, Menu Settings/Vehicle/Locks/Intelligent Access.

If it's not in the steering wheel menu, since you have a First Edition with the upgraded Sync 3 system, on the Sync 3 touchscreen, go to Settings at the bottom of the screen, then Vehicle, and search through the menu for Intelligent Access (I forget the exact sequence in the menu).

I had to disable and enable reset in my May deliver Maverick Lariat. It has not happened since.

I have had this happen to me 3 times now, most recently last week. It first started with the driver side door handle. Then later the passenger side door handle stopped working. I had to bring my Maverick in to the dealership to get it repaired every time. The first time they needed to order a part. The second time they said it was a programming issue. I will let you know what they say the third time (appointment is on October 1st.) Very frustrating.

Had that issue when I first got the truck. As mentioned,. Disable it then re-enable in dash cluster.

I had to take my Maverick in 3x. Each time they said it was due to a low battery. I don't believe that was the case. I believe it has to do with the body control monitor (BCM). The 3rd time has held up for 2 months now. I suspect the service technicians probably have more experience now and were able to properly address the situation.

Drivers door stopped working, took it to the dealership. They replaced the door handle, still not working. They said next step is to replace the BCM and reprogram.
