If it's the passenger side then it's probably disabling it because it is in Deep Sleep mode.
ohhhh very possibly could be that - didnt think of that one. My truck is always going into deep sleep - pretty sure the batter is a POS .... LOL

Have had this issue for the last 6 months. It's clear to me that FORD has some major issues with the "intelligent" systems on the Maverick.

To resolve non-functioning door handle Intelligent Access problem on my Mav, the LOCK reboot (DEACTIVATE, then ACTIVATE via the steering wheel menu) works, BUT only after the 12v BATTERY IS RE-CHARGED (via a charger) and only after I go through what I call the "Summoning of the Semi-Conductor Gods" procedure (i.e., with ACCESSORY on, flick high beams on 5 times, then press brake pedal 3 times).

And going through all the above doesn't fix the problem permanently. If I drive in ECO mode for several trips, the problem (no Intelligent Access response from the door handles, PLUS no interior overhead lighting) returns, and I have to go through all the aforementioned steps again, starting with the 12v battery recharge. If I drive in NORMAL mode, the problem doesn't arise UNLESS the Mav sits undriven for 2 days or more. Then the problem returns and it's re-charge-the-12v-battery-time again, and then go through the entire above procedure once more. IT IS A ROYAL PAIN IN THE ASS.

PLUS on top of all this, lately the lane-changing system (the ALERT vibration, the AID steering control, and the lane-change light on the dash) only works intermittently. While driving, it works then stops working, then it works, then it stops, and so on.

I repeat: It's clear to me that FORD has some major issues with the "intelligent" systems on the Maverick.

And don't ask me if I'd had it back to the dealer. They want 2-3 weeks before they can get it in, and then want it left for a week. PULEEZE!
