Good Sunday morning Mavericks ! Question for you all. So my XL Ecoboost AWD has a few different drive modes . I mainly use the normal mode , although I have been using the eco mode for my ride home from work as of late . Really want to try out the sport mode soon , but must be careful the police presence! I've read the manual but can't seem to find it you can shift into a different mode while driving? It says to not shift into the slippery mode on dry pavement but to move from normal mode into eco or sport , I would have to go past slippery? My 2000 Ranger & 2005 F-150 FX4 let you shift in and out of 4WD on the fly without tearing up drive line, axels, trans . Do this work the same for my AWD Maverick ?

It won't engage the mode until you pause on the drive mode for it to select it.

You can change drive modes while moving. Obviously avoid going into slippery if you are on dry pavement but it won't immediately kill the truck either.

The mode selector is a selector for which data set the computer is to use and most certainly will have a delay built in to allow changing possibly to the next mode before actually switching to the selected mode. If not then Ford would have designed a different procedure.
