We are slated to take delivery on an XL Hybrid in the next few days (ordered 9/22) and I am wondering if the the bed has double wall construction. I never assume having lived thru days of single wall construction, and forgot to ask at the point we put $100 down for an order seemingly some years back.

Double wall construction the sides so any dents on the inside will not show on the outside but being unibody it is built differently than a body on frame truck.

Like Bob stated above, with the Maverick being a unibody, the bed construction is different than a traditional body-on-frame pickup truck. The inner skin is separated by the outer skin by quite a bit of internal structure.

Thank you. I'm encouraged "dimpiles" won't show on exterior.

Haven’t seen a single wall bed since Toyota 1985? Or was it the 83-84?

It's been a long while. I like all the interesting thing people/ manufacturers do with this air space. We got the left side open to ground. Planing to coil a power cord for homemade Maverick camper in there.
