Keep scrolling down into the thread. I think we discovered where the Maverick logo plate is supposed to go and it isn't where I put it.I'm more concerned about the plastic between the sill and floor mat. It's such a high step it, that's the piece that takes a beating
I don't know that it's a mistake, Ford's website shows them installed where everyone has been putting them."Oh, now you tell me!" I think you're right. That would certainly make more sense. Many people were complaining about how small they were thinking they were supposed to fit onto the painted sill rather than in that space in the floor ridge. How could so many of us get that one wrong? I guess we (present company excluded) just got locked in to putting them on the sill.
I'm now tempted to peel mine off and see if I can reposition it onto the plastic.
And we know Ford does not make any mistakesI don't know that it's a mistake, Ford's website shows them installed where everyone has been putting them.

I was just saying that's why everyone has been putting them there...And we know Ford does not make any mistakes.
I know. I’m just ragging on Ford! I don’t know what the sill material is, but if it is really flexible, I would think the ridges in the plastic may be an issue.I was just saying that's why everyone has been putting them there...
I just bought a roll of anti-slip stuff from Amazon, once the weather gets warm enough for the glue to set properly I'm going to try that. Don't want to waste my Fordpass points on those Maverick plates. Must be something I can waste them on like tailgate letters.I know. I’m just ragging on Ford! Maybe??? https://www.amazon.com/Rust-Oleum-2...s=matte+clear+coat&qid=1676118776&sr=8-3&th=1You're absolutely correct. I put on snappy looking door sill protectors and for what? Well, I did it to give me the feeling I was protecting the paint, but my foot never touches that part. It's the plastic piece you mentioned. So far, what I've done to it is cleanable, but who knows how long that will last.
Thanks for that. Apparently, we're in good company. LOLI don't know that it's a mistake, Ford's website shows them installed where everyone has been putting them.

I tried the anti slip tape from Amazon and thought it was kinda cheap looking. When I went to remove it, that's when a bit of paint came off with it.I just bought a roll of anti-slip stuff from Amazon, once the weather gets warm enough for the glue to set properly I'm going to try that.
