Looks like precut skateboard tape so stick to your doorsill. It's cheap but not sure it would be the best option for everyone.

I bought the YelloPro product but have not installed it. Still looking and waiting for something a bit more than skateboard tape. Something will need to be put on the door sills...it is only a matter of time before the first ding.
The OEM sill plates are metal and sturdy, but not very big. They do say “Maverick” though!

Same here. I love the look. Not sure how much protection they’ll provide. I got the massively overpriced “Maverick” sunshade so I might as well double down on the theme!Agree ..... Wish they were 2" wide and much longer.

I ordered the OEM version using ford pass points. I baby the truck so for me, it's more for aesthetics than protection.

Keeping with my frontier,diy mentality I bought a roll of thick clear door edge/sill tape and cut my own. I also used it for laying a strip on the tailgate, on the bottom edge that gets beaten up when loading and unloading things.
Simple but gets the job done.

What's going to bother me more is the abuse the plastic trim above the sills are going to take. Other than laying down some 3M clear protection, I can't think of anything else so far.Tufskinz also sells an option that is kind of bed liner type material.

Yeah, I think I should have returned them or at least placed a wider strip under it before installing them. The rear ones are slightly longer but the coverage is pretty much the same. May look for a clear type to place over the plates. ........ All the Ford accessory 3M tape is like glue!!!! (Once it's on, it's pretty much a done deal because removing it will only chip the paint or clear coat.)
If I bought 2 sets, would the front maverick plate fit in the rear as well?I like the OEM black platinum door sills. Mainly for looks.
