I realize I will take a lot of flak for this question, but here goes. As someone else mentioned I am more concerned about the plastic trim above the door sills. Although I am careful, it just seems that there is something about the design that makes it extremely easy to drag your foot across it, especially on entry. Now the question: Will the Platinum Maverick sill plate adhere to the plastic trim. It almost looks like a pretty good fit (See Picture in entry above). If it did "stick", would it stand up to the potential abuse?

If I bought 2 sets, would the front maverick plate fit in the rear as well?
The front plates are 12 inches long while the rears are 8 inches. There's not enough flat area in the rear door jam for the fronts to be put on the rears.

I have these door sill plate covers that I purchased from Etsy. In the process of waiting well over two months for them to be delivered, which was ridiculously long, I found a different set of sill plate covers, bought them, and installed them.

These are for sale for $25 with free shipping. They are thick vinyl and are wide and long enough to cover the entire sill plates on the front and back.

I have two sets of these. Let me know if you’d like to buy them.

I purchased a roll of clear sill protection for $8.00 (2 3/4"x 16'). It is easy on and easy off and doesn't harm the paint. Got it on EBAY

It looks like a very gritty surface and keeping it clean might be more annoying than just wiping down the paint with a wet rag. If it's intended to stand on, that is entirely different and it looks perfect for that.

I just installed the OEM ones. I like the way they look but they are too small.

Fantastic. They look like they did the day I installed them. They are thicker than I thought. I like the fact that they go from end to end, not just a foot or so in the middle. I was a bit reluctant when i saw them, but their advertisement and description is right on the money. I have a Maverick ordered for my wife and when I ever get a build date, this is the first item I am ordering for hers.

What's going to bother me more is the abuse the plastic trim above the sills are going to take. Other than laying down some 3M clear protection, I can't think of anything else so far.
Im curious about the same thing, Im a fan of the skateboard tape look because im more about function. Some additional tape on the plastic might be right for me
