I ordered my Maverick as a replacement for my 1994 Oldsmobile Silhouette (196K miles) that I ordered new in 1994. At that time the window sticker was $21K (still have the window sticker).
This was my wife's hauler for our 2 children.
This is now going to be my hauler and tow my motorcycle trailer to the races. (If it comes in time this Summer).
The Yamaha in the picture is a 1976 that I purchased new. I still have this bike. This may give an indication of my age. I am collecting on Medicare and Social Security.

In reading many posts in this forum I have come to realize that owners or potential owners do not have a clue how to read a manual or just accept that what the Maverick is..........

Wow, this was one of the best "battle of the ages" threads I have seen on MTC. I'm 60 and I have been clamoring for something like this truck for a long time. I always thought Honda missed an opportunity to make the Element a small pick up. Instead they went with the CRV,HRV and sold hundreds of thousands of them. I guess we will never know what would have sold better. Ford took a chance and I think this vehicle is going to crush the market like the Explorer did so many years ago.

I am not sure what you mean by win?? I will be 78 on my next birthday; that will be after I, hopefully, receive my Maverick in June or July. As I see it, considering some my past lifestyle choices, I am already a winner. That will just be amplified when I am "cruising" in my new Mav!!!! Life is good and getting better and , hey, I am thankful......

I'm a millennial, I also turn 40 next month. We aren't all young and dumb anymore. You might be talking to Gen Z (or zoomers, if you prefer), most millennials have been in the work force for a while, married, have families, etc...

Anyways, that is why I jumped on this when I did, I could tell this was going to be a hit, the forecast of rising interest rates, and continued supply chain issues, all would be causing the prices to go up the next few years. So far I was correct on that, with the price increases for the 2023 model.

I know Ford designed and marketed this vehicle for millennials, guys with hair buns and hipsters. Nevertheless, this is our truck. It is probably the most functional vehicle ever made and we old dudes figured this out when it was launched. It is the truck equivalent of a bucket hat, belt with a hidden money spot sewn in, belly pack and trousers that let you remove the legs with a zipper! Stop defending it when people dismiss it as a "trucklette" or call it "cute." You are only driving up the price and making it harder to get.
