I recently got a irreparable gash in one of my tires. I was surprised to discover that my Mav doesn't have a jack, let alone a spare of any kind. Roadside assistance wasn't possible. I had to borrow a jack to get the wheel off. Apparently a jack is now an option on most new vehicles. Who knew?. FYI I bought a dealer pre-ordered 2026 Lariat Hybrid. It does have an air pump and a seal kit which weren't much use to me in this instance. If you live remotely, be forwarned.

Nothing behind the rear passenger seat in a black bag? That’s not nice of Ford…

In all vehicles I own (especially ones w/fix-a-flat crap):

Spare - YES OEM. Always purchase if none OEM or come with.

Jack and lug tool - dont care about OEM. Always carry aftermarket low clearance bottle jack and colapsable 4 way.

Plus keep 1/2" socket set and torque wrench onboard too.

BTW: My Mav is a '26 Lariat AWD Hybrid and it did come with OEM spare, jack and wrench.

So the jack and lug nut bar are under the rear passenger seat for 2022-2025s? Not sure why, but I've never gone looking for them. I figured I'd consult the manual when the time came.

It's good to know where they are ahead of time. I'll probably look when I get home tonight. It's bad enough getting a flat. The last thing you need is having to go looking for everything (and hoping it's there) when it's dark and you're in the middle of nowhere.

Unless you get the 4k tow pack, there's no spare tire or tools.

No… “behind” the rear passenger seat as stated in the manual, Or possibly low at the center of the back seat as stated as my reality.

Edit- On some models- The vehicle jack and tool bag are located on the rear passenger side of your vehicle, behind the passenger seat.
The vehicle jack and tool bag are in the same location regardless of whether your vehicle has the 2.0L EcoBoost™ or the 2.5L Hybrid engine.

The equipment is located on the rear passenger side of the vehicle, behind the passenger seat.

Removing the Jack and Tools
To access the equipment, follow these steps:

  1. Turn the wing bolt on the jack bracket counterclockwise to release the assembly.

  5. Remove the tools from the bag.
The tool bag contains the components needed for changing a tire, including the lug wrench and the jack handle parts.

I guess your dealer cares more about potential buyers than mine did. Yup, I bought an aftermarket jack and lug tool as soon as I got back on the road. I contacted my sales rep to whine and he didn't know they were optional....

I totally believe your salesperson did not know. A salesperson's job is to get potential customers to buy. Most car sales people aren't required to know the nuances of their product.
It's nice if they do, but it's not required.
