Does XL come standard with Remote Start?

Does anyone know if the XL comes standard with remote start? The Ford Pass option. If so, is there anything special that needs done to perform this?

All trims come with the Remote Start via FordPass. No trim comes standard with the Fob option, you have to specifically add it on and it is only available for XLT and Lariat and require their respective Lux packages.

Yes I have the XL and it comes from the factory with fordpass remote start,lock,unlock and horn panic mode all from the phone. XL will not come with remote start on the key fob and or a key pad (unless you get a sticky key pad) you can also add the key fob remote start after delivery from the dealer (how ever the phone app is super nice and that is all I need ! )

In Canada, You get remote start FOB without LUX Pac upgrade when you option the alarm.

I have an XL and added Ford Perimeter Plus and enabled it with Forscan software so now I can remote start with my factory key fob when Ford Pass isn't working. I picked it up from ebay for less than the dealership was charging. It's much quicker to remote start with my key fob than it is via the Ford Pass app. You also gain a better alarm system with this. It's part number Ford Part number KN1Z-19A361-A

It is plug and play to the back of the obd2 port. Then enable with Forscan software or get the dealership to enable it. I have an XL and installed in on mine for a lot less than the Ford price. I bought mine from ebay. You need part number KN1Z-19A361-A then you'll be able to remote start with your factory key fob. You get a better alarm system. You don't need the lux package.

Not if you want it integrated in your key fob. You can always add it after the fact, but it requires a separate trigger.

My understanding is yes with the FORD app on your phone.

The app is easy, but if it means a lot to you there are ways to add it. The bonus of the app is it works from inside your office or house, you don't have to go to a window to get it to work.
