Front plate required in Idaho and if it isn’t there it gives coppers an excuse to pull you over.No. Forgot to ask my dealer to not drill my bumper, then on pickup day my salesman told me, "I told them not to drill your bumper. But just so you know, it's illegal to not run a front plate in Washington...do with that what you will *wink wink*."
It's a secondary offense in Washington and I've yet to be stopped for anything else, so no ticket.
Same law here, but I have not installed a front plate for a very, very long time. Cops don't pull you over around here unless you are violating traffic laws (speeding, DWI, running red lights...)Front plate required in Idaho and if it isn’t there it gives coppers an excuse to pull you over.
Looks like shit! It's dealer installed. I hated it. So I lowered where mine is now. Looks better and yes, I don't mind the black plugs. And no, it doesn't affect operational temperatures. I did the same thing on my 2015 Prius.

In NJ we require a front license and mine came with the bracket not mounted. The dealer installed at pick up time when my permanent plates came in. So mine was NOT factory installed. My state requires front license plates however and I noticed it was on my order sheet from the dealer. I asked my dealer to remove it and he said he can't. Does anyone know if the factory installs the bracket or if it is just on the build sheet and the dealer installs it? I really do not want holes drilled in my front bumper!
ahhh dont take your vehicle to that dealer for service/repairdealer installed mine i am pretty sure, horrible drilling, crooked as hell
Thank you!Looks like shit!
