Does Find Apps button on screen do anything?

Does the find apps button on the Maverick XL / XLT infotainment system do anything for you? Whenever I click on find apps it comes up no apps found on my phone which is bull because I have a ton of apps on my phone.

I ignore it. Even the XL is complicated for me. I get in,turn key on, 4 clicks on the drive button and 1 on the cruise control. And go weeeeeeeee

I believe there are supposed to be other apps that are functional within the Ford App when connected through CarPlay but I haven’t got anything to work. Honestly I just have to stay focused on keeping my phone connected as both the Bluetooth and CarPlay connection drop frequently at this point in my Maverick.

Only certain apps work with maverick and they are ones you down load to phone then car play is how you access them.

The only time I’ve been able to get anything is having CarPlay working. I thought that wireless CarPlay was part of the Lariat package. I was disappointed that it I was not. I rented an Edge for a month that had that feature. It was a nice thing to have.

Only wired on all trims of Maverick unless you get an aftermarket wireless adapter.

I have the Lariat lux and the Find Apps was for the Sync 3 App Link which is no longer supported by Ford. I was thinking Sync 3 was unique to the Lariat but maybe not. I just use CarPlay

It’s a Sync 4 feature. The Maverick Lariat has the old Sync 3 which is not wireless
