So sick of the non-sync version or sync light that comes in the XLT. Does anybody offer a sync 3 APIM module upgrade for the XLTs, sick to death of the laggy radio it is ridiculous.

Following. 4D tech admitted they made a prototype but they are not releasing a kit right now. Maybe reach out to them and show support for it. I also tried to reach out to brian@ Naviupgrade.com, but after having one successful phone call with him telling me that he would reach out the following weekend, it’s been two months and after trying to get a hold of him several times. I have no luck. That’s as far as I’ve gotten, but I’m with you, I can’t stand this crappy system anymore and I shouldn’t have to get a $40,000 mini truck to get an infotainment system that’s been available in sub $23,000 SUVs for years

As of right now, sadly no. Like I said, go to 4dtech.com and email them. They have a working prototype!!! The more people who email them the harder push to bring it to market!!!!!

Yeah I've never had a Ford be so laggy and slow on the head unit side. Whatever they call that comes in the XLT just sucks. I've had sync in every Ford vehicle I've owned except this one and they've been fine no laggingness whatsoever but the Mavericks head unit sucks monkey balls.

I will argue sync 3 is the best modern auto infotainment system. It’s excellent!

I don't care about OEM navigation or even sirius, I just want standard sync 3 or 4 whatever comes in the 24 lariat's. I just can't take the sync light anymore.

The standard lariat was sync 3 with xm and no nav. Then in 24 it came with nav. I’ll be happy with sync 3 no nav but I want xm

I agree about Sirius, I like it and use it frequently. But now I use with Android Auto and it sounds great via Android Auto. Whereas with Ford OEM Sirius tuners it always for some reason sounds horrible.

With my Chevy's it's always sounded 3x cleaner vs Ford OEM stereos. So I'm fine with not having Sirius built into the OEM unit.

I want it built in for convenience. I don’t like taking my eyes off the road to switch stations (using Siri is useless) so using steering wheel controls to go through presets is nice. And safer.

Just for reference this was the response I got from 4D tech, for anyone who views this thread.

I agree with Toddman about the infotainment system, laggy and distracting to operate. I know better systems are available but not for this vehicle so far. The '17 Ram Tradesman (base model more or less) I traded had system that had Sirrius incorporated was much better. I could press command button on steering wheel and say "Tune sattelite channel 60" or "Tune FM signal 104.4" now I have to hook up my phone (with a cable) to use Android Auto, use system touch screen and tap on my desired action 2 to 3 times to get result. Again the system on Ram was the base and I have "24 Maverik XLT with lux package and as far as I can tell there was no option for entertainment system upgrade on XL & XLT.
One of my disappointments with the Maverick

As someone with an XLT who only uses Bluetooth audio or Android Auto, what features would I gain by upgrading to Sync 3 if a kit were available? I never use the terrestrial radio - even removed my antenna.
