Does anyone have email from Ford corporate guaranteeing price protection?

Sorry, I’ve been reading through the forums and I watched the video of the awesome guy from Salina, KS about the smart Vincent and all that. I am just wondering if anyone has received or has a copy of anything sent directly from Ford corporate stating that price protection applies to orders placed before the cutoff date in December? Something that clearly states dealers have to honor original order price and that the dealership will be refunded by Ford? I’d really like to have something like that to take to the dealership when (if) my Mav ever arrives. Thanks!

Awesome! The next question would be is there an email or notice stating the financing protection? While I cannot say my dealer is going to jack me around I'd like to have it in writing that we are guaranteed the financing options from when we ordered.

Thanks for asking this question and I appreciate the response with the appropriate link for this question. I have printed Ford price protection and will have this to present when purchasing our new Maverick soon !

Sadly, that isn't how it works. you place your order with the dealer who places it with ford, and ford sells it to the dealer who sells it to you. For all the visibility we get, we aren't directly connected to ford only the dealer. The price protection is from ford to the dealer, basically if they sell to the person who originally placed the order then ford will charge them the original invoice price to allow them to sell at the original agreed price to the end customer.

I have an email from my dealer telling me whenever I get my mav delivered it will be priced as I ordered....but nothing from ford directly...I have not dealt with for at all for my october order...only communication besides order confirmation was the blanket spam email they sent out a few weeks ago...

They don't have to honor it. What are you gonna do? Ford can threaten all it wants but it comes down to enforcement of such threat which I find mostly empty.

You're right. I suppose all I can really do is bend over and take it and thank them for it.

Why would I even think someone should honor their word? Kinda silly now that I think about it. Thanks for setting me straight. Maybe I'll go in and offer them an extra $5000 for all the hard work they've done. Or do you think $10000 might be more appropriate? I should consider myself lucky to even be getting the vehicle in the first place, so anything I can do to help the poor, struggling, hard working dealers, the better.

I’m really hoping I don’t have a bad experience when o go to pick mine up. Whenever that might be. I have the order sheet and they crossed out the amounts and wrote in the cheaper amount (before the December price hike because I ordered before then). I’m just gonna bring that order slip and print out a copy of that price protection memo and hope for the best. Hopefully your dealership doesn’t end up screwing you over. But at this point you should almost expect it unfortunately
