Do you need TPMS sensor in a full size spare tire for AWD?

Without TPMS sensor in a full size spare tire, would the AWD system shut off and you end up with a FWD ? Asking just in case I need to use the full size spare tire temporarily until getting the regular tire gets patched up in an event of a flat. What if I don't want to replace all 4 tires just for 1 bad tire, do I need to add TPMS sensor to my full size spare in order for it to work with AWD system? Thoughts?

Yes it shuts off

No don’t add a sensor unless it’s the same size overall diameter spare. Not good to run different diameters with awd

Put in the same tire and rim for the spare and rotate it into cycle with the others.
