Do Bumper Stickers Stick?

It'll stick to the tailgate. Unless you don't remove the backing. Then it won't stick there, either.

If a sticker came off and didn’t take the cheap, thin paint with it, that’s probably a “win.”

Not sure I’d tempt fate with further attempts.

Edit… I was only half-joking about the painted surfaces, but if you mean the black plastic - yeah, no. As others have said, it is too “textured.” I can’t see a sticker sticking very well at all.

What kind of bumper sticker? The vinyl kind you put on with soap and water, or just good old fashion stickers?

I have had trouble with people removing some of my bumper stickers, but I find if you clean the surface very thoroughly with rubbing alcohol first, they stay on really well.

I too used alcohol to pre-clean. But it still fell off.

The black plastic is not smooth. Decals/stickers seldom adhere well to surfaces like this. Especially true with the rubbery/soft type of plastic they are made out of.

I went the cheap route to put band stickers on my bumper but I applied clear gorilla tape over them and they have stuck for a couple months already with no problem. They just seem to be fading cuz they were cheap to begin with.

Yes! The Black Plastic body pieces are ALL "Texture"...
They don't take Bumper Stickers too, well.. BUT!
They do like to collect, Carnauba Wax...

I Hand-Waxed!! the Pup! yesterday..

Spent a half-hour, JUST taping off ALL of that Black Plastic... (Noticed this When I would Wax my last Ranger). IT had just a few of these FUN pieces..
