Do all versions (excluding FX4/Tremor) have the same springs/shocks?

Maybe it's just because I got the XLT w/4k tow pkg, but man I think this thing rides very rough or at least very firm. I'm sure there are no options out there for someone who wants a softer ride except for the possibility that the XL's maybe come with softer springs and struts.

Anybody know?

No, Ford puts 3 different suspension levels on the Mavericks.
STD. , Rough Road, and Performance

Ok well I'm interested in switching to "standard". It's very firm. I wonder which trims/packages get which suspension?

I have a '22 XLT with the tow package and it rides really nice compared to other vehicles I have owned. What were you driving before the Maverick?

Also I know it's a long shot but check your springs. The factory installs shipping spacers and sometimes they are not removed during PDI.

These are for a Mach-E but the Maverick ones look similar.

I had a '22 Ranger XLT but swapped out the rear shocks for Bilsteins. Made a big improvement. The Mav rides WAY firmer. And we have relatively smooth roads in NC.

Check to make sure your tire pressure isn't too high. Some trucks came from the dealer with well over 40psi, and that will most definitely affect the ride.

You already have the "std" package.

FX4 gets a revised shock, Tremor gets revised springs & shocks.

Contrary to popular belief, the more "off-road" a suspensions is, the softer it rides. The "softest" riding AWD Maverick is the Tremor, followed by the FX4, then the std AWD.

The tires were way overinflated from the factory and I already lowered the pressure once but with warmer weather it's crept back up to 40/41. I'll let some air out today.

Our FX4 with the 4K towing rides nice.

It was delivered with about 40 psi I lowered it to 34 and noticed a slight difference in the ride and an improvement in the winter driving.

We also found a stretch of highway that had perpendicular lines in it that gave the Maverick fits. I changed lanes and it smoothed out. I run into this occasionally in every car I have owned.

Tires get inflated to 45+ Lbs. to tighten the straps when shipped. Many dealers forget or don't bother lowering the pressure before pick up. When we first test drove a bronco Sport it rode like a rock and my wife hated it. Got it back to the dealer and had him check the pressure... 49 pounds. Was fine after the tires were put back to 33 where they should have been for the Sport.

Just as a follow-up, I reduced the pressure to 36 and yes there's a good difference in ride quality. I'll probably pay for it in a slight mileage drop, but its worth it.

Thanks!
