Installed Lasfit switchbacks and damn they are so bright that I got worried...
These are the old T-series:

Left - unmodified Lasfit, right - stock bulb:

Cut some aluminum tape strips with exacto knife:

...and after experimenting with covering different led counts and positions I came up with this:
NOTE: Notice the exposed mirrored led positions on both bulbs, needed to get mirrored led pattern when installed on truck. Did all 4 bulb sides like this.

...which looks closest to the stock bulb brightness. Only one amber LED on each side left exposed, total 4 amber leds per bulb, the rest 20 leds are covered with aluminum tape. With small flat screw driver made sure tape is well wrapped all around the leds sides.
Left - modified Lasfit, right - stock bulb:

Side by side stock(left) vs. modified Lasfit(right) installed:

And some final installed video:

Will see how it looks in a bright sunny day and expose some more leds if needed. Flexibility is the best thing about this mod. :)
Hope it helps...

Scratching my head here... Why would you purchase them and then make them the same as the stock ones? Why not just... save some money and keep the stock ones?

I also purchased a set of Lasfit bulbs and returned them. They are obnoxiously (and maybe dangerously for other drivers) bright.

I have had the complete set of LASFIT’s in my 2022 and have never been flashed down.

So let me try to understand....🤔🤓. You bought brighter led bulbs to replace the dimmer OEM halogens. Then saw how much brighter the new LEDs were, and decided to dim them down by covering 75% of the led chips with foil?

Yeah, this post doesn't make any sense to me. But , hey Merica.😁🤣🙄

Looks like it still has the switchback ability just the ambers aren't as bright.

Newer T3 switchbacks aren't as bright as the originals. The originals were too bright.

LED are integrated circuits (Light Emitting Diode) and are susceptible to heat. Covering them in aluminum foil will probably cause them to fail prematurely, kind of like baking a potato.
I hope you still have the originals.

This to why...
And for running them as DRL.

I have been wanting to change out both front and rear bulbs to LED, but did I see somewhere that you can’t do it on a Lariat?

The remarks in this thread are why I quit posting on this website. Good grief. Yes, I know I just posted this, on this website. 🙃
Smart move, I stopped posting long ago.

LasFit Switchback turn signals.
Was the first modification I did, when I got my Maverick. I'm glad they are as bright as they are.
My Mavericks turn signals are now as bright as the Buick Encore's front OEM LED turn signals.
The Encore had rear analog turn signal bulbs. I switched them out for LEDs. Boy were those babies nice and bright. Nobody had any qualms on my intentions when using those turn signals.
Kind of like daylight driving lights. Better to be seen for safety than not.
As a former motorcycle rider I used my high beam during the day to be seen.

It's Lasfit- there is a good chance it is going to fail anyway. At least this way it will surely fail inside the warranty period.
