You don't need to take it apart that much for the battery. I think he was just bored.

I tried to get to the back of the buttons to shave the alarm to keep the damn thing from lighting up after bumping crap in the pocket. No success with that.

I did this so I could transfer a key blade to a different key..

This thread might be useful for people out there that break their key fob or damage it, and don't want to get a new key blade cut! I saw a post awhile back that said you CANNOT remove the physical key from the FOB. Well you can.. and its not that difficult..

Or even if someone had their key blade incorrectly cut or damaged, they could transfer on a NEW uncut physical key blade onto their fob, and would not have to buy an entirely new Key Fob..
