I'm tired of how sensitive my windshield camera is. Has anyone successfully disabled it? either by pulling the fuse or using forscan? I did ty searching and found no results. And no I dont want comments saying its a silly idea, it's my truck and cameras havent always been around.

Not sure how to disable it, but I assume pulling a fuse would work. But you would also probably get warning notices/pop ups on the dash all the time. Which would be more annoying that the "sensitivity" flashing you similar warnings. Have you gone in and set it to be the least sensitive possible? There is a setting for that. I would be suspicious if you set it to "lowest" and it still was warning you when it shouldn't. Mine is at something like "Medium" and it has only warned me twice of pre-collision, and both times were warranted.

Your insurance company bases your rate in part on the safety equipment on your vehicle.
Your truck your choice.

A short strip of black plastic tape would alleviate the pain temporarily.

To what end? Are you getting too many "you are following too close" warnings?

I'm probably just numb, but what does this forward camera do? I have a Lariet/Lux and am not aware of any forward-facing camera? TIA.

All Mavericks have one mounted above the rearview mirror. It's primarily for the standard pre-collision assist, but also gets used for things like CP360 Lane Keeping or Lariat w/ Lane Centering.

Thank you. I'm pretty OK with all of that stuff so I'm checking out of this thread.
