I decided to disconnect this feature. I know some will say it was a mistake, but it is so nice to drive the truck now.
I know that it also disconnects the battery management system. I can just reconnect the sensor if needed.

You disabled the auto stop/start feature by disconnecting something? What did you disconnect, exactly?

I bought a auto stop eliminator that plugs into the switch on the console off ebay for $27 that works great. It keeps the last state the switch was in so if I turn it off it stays off even when I turn the truck off and leave overnight. You have to pull the center console but that is just 7 screws and lifts right out. you unplug the connect to the switch and plug this device in then reconnect the connector to the other side of the device. I hated the way Ford requires that you turn the auto stop off every time. The other option is to buy the one that plugs into the OBD port but they are a lot more money (and I'm cheap).

Though I love the ecoboost motor, I literally hate the stop/start as implemented on this motor. Waaaay too obtrusive in operation, and I cannot tolerate the shudder it creates in the driveline. Ridiculous. Everyone in the vehicle notices it. The implementation on the hybrid is better. I've disabled it with a Cobb Tuning Accessport for now. May disable it with Forscan later.

If you disconnect the BMS ammeter on the battery negative terminal it disables, although it results in a Charging System Malfunction pop-up every cycle.

Oof. That would annoy me more. Doesn't the ECU store that fault?

Hope you did not disconnect something that will bite you, down the road.. 😧

I just "PUSH the BUTTON", in between Starting the Truck Up and turning On the Radio... 😝

I too disabled it in FORSCAN. Easy Mode as well.

The Hybrid doesn't have A.S.S. - at least not like the ecoboost. If you come to a red light, the gas engine is already stopped. And when the traffic signal changes to green, if you don't do a jackrabbit drive off, the gas engine doesn't even start at all. When it does start later, you won't feel it. You may slightly hear it running, though.

Yes. So obviously it is automatically starting and stopping the engine, which was the point, but like you I don't notice it nearly as much. I take your point that it's not a red light thing.

Yes, it does, but to me that is no big deal. Hit the ok button and that goes away.

I don't think you should have to pay to get rid of a feature that you didn't want to begin with.
