Dim screen fix?

Curious, are you finding that the cabin lights sometimes will not light up when entering?

Day one with new 2024 XLT Hybrid, the screen seemed hard to read, not that clear in CarPlay. The radio was ok since the graphics aren’t as detailed.
I played with brightness and contrast-it was better but it looked washed out.
Now that the days are getting shorter, I noticed that sometimes the lights inside when entering weren’t turning on. I checked the roof switch. It was working.
I scheduled an appointment with the dealship, they found fault codes indicating that the touch screen needed replacement.
it now is brighter with good contrast, the light turns on in the morning also

This And also turn up the Display brightness in the Infotainment System settings.
Both of these settings can affect the Infotainment Screen brightness.

which screen are you talking about? infotainment or instrument cluster? I think someone above mentioned how to change the brightness on the instrument cluster but the infotainment screen is in settings then display. I was disappointed that I couldnt dim it as much as I wanted.

Thanks for the replies. I have adjusted the panel on the dash and the screen settings, and no, I don't seem to have a problem with the cabin lights. Dash display is much brighter than the info screen.

I think, based on what I am seeing here, I'd better insist the dealer fix it, as the warranty is near its end (33K).

Well I covered that too.
That said, the infotainment screen especially the backup camera is not the greatest. Hopefully Ford won't say that's normal.

The Connected Touch Radio display is notoriously dimmer/more prone to washing out in the sun compared to the Lariat (w/ Sync 3).

If you hold down the power button and skip (>>) for about 8 seconds it will reboot the whole system and it may clear it up.
