My Question is I Ordered a New Maverick last July witch is Just been Finished
Obviously it's a 24 Not Shipped yet
But since Ordereing I Purchased a New 23 at another dealership out of State I Didn't know How long it would take
And my Mazda/Ranger broke down
So I Needed something Sooner than Anticipated
My Current Maverick is a 23 Xl ecoboost
Area 51 color
upgraded xlt wheels bed cover bed mat mud flaps in Chanel rain guards bug deflector Tinted the front windows and top windshield
It has full size spare tire and Trailer hitch for options
Runs Great just got back from a road trip to Mexico and back average about 31 mpg
My Ordered Maverick is an Xl ecoboost Cactus Grey
Factory Trailer hitch Full size spare tire
Same build as I Already have
My Question is Has anyone Traded in a 23 for a 24
What would be the Cost difference
Mine has 5000 on it
And Is it Worth it
Am I Gaining or Loosing anything in the Exchange
I heard the 24's Don't have Cruise control
After Driving 27 hours each way to Mexico I Have to have Cruise
Other than switching from Area 51 to Cactus Grey I'm Not Sure what to do
Hoping for some Insite from Other Owners that Maybe have Made the switch and What Their input or Advice would be
I like the area 51 color
I Also like the Cactus Grey color
Thank you 😊

The 2024s have cruise control. There's not much difference between the two besides the loss of the keypad and heated wipers on some 2024 trims

I don't think it's worth trading in a 23 for a 24 but it's not my money

The Area 51 color is no longer available, so that could make a difference to you. If you're financing, terms available could make a difference. Your annual taxes will be lower on the '23 and of course the '24 did have a price hike. It's pretty much a personal thing at this point, the Cactus Gray will not date it for a while. Don't expect value for your add ons in trade or resale. Plan to remove and reinstall those.

Moves like this always cost money. Aside from the difference in what you'd get for the old one vs what the new one will cost, you're looking at registration/title fees, taxes, etc. My advice: be happy with what you have and pocket/invest the few grand that you'd otherwise be giving to the dealers and the state.

You seem to have your current truck customized the way you want it, and it is running well for you. Of course, it's also in the best color!

I would not trade, mostly because there just doesn't seem to be any reason to mess with the status quo. Good luck either way.

If you cannot get insane money for a trade-in, then keep the 23 ... you would pretty much lose the value of all the non-removable, non-re-installable mods, add-ons, and accessories that you currently have and you would pay quite a bit of extra money (tax, tag, title, fees, etc.) just to reset and gain some new months on the factory warranty period.

Thanks All for Your Advice and Knowledge
I Was Thinking the same As All of you Posted
I Have my Current one like I Like it
And other than the Swap in Colors I Don't See the Reson for a Swap if it's Still the Same platform and creature comforts
Just for Giggles I Might go to the dealership When it comes in and See what the Cost difference would be
Thanks All
Happy 4th to Everyone

I was given $1000 more than I paid for my 22 with 35k miles on trade in so it doesn't hurt to ask

As long as you are happy with the color why would you trade? Both the '23 and '24 appear to be identical except for color. I traded my '23 XLT for a '24 Lariat Tremor but I had decided I missed the options on the Lariat but if you are just trading oranges for oranges what's the point.
