Does anyone know the differences between the XL & XLT models?

Im talking about the trims themself, not packages.

I plan on ordering a Maverick when the order banks open in August and I'm trying to see if Cruise Control is worth the extra $$$ or not
The XLT just looks better inside and out.

I am waiting on my XL and the only reason I got that instead of XLT was just for the steel wheels, better aerodynamics and just about every car I have seen since my mom bought her '87 SS Monte Carlo has come with rims, including my econo box 2015 Mitsubishi Mirage. So to me they make more of a statement that this is a truck that's going to do truck things, like haul around air 5 days a week and bikes on Saturday for the Pinellas Trail 😂

If you ever use cruise control it's probably worth it. Plenty of people are adding the switches from an XLT and "turning on" cruise control with Forscan but not everyone is comfortable with that and some people think it will void their warranty (it won't). There's also an aftermarket cruise control kit from Rostra that you can add, I don't know why people think the factory switches will void the warranty but the Rostra kit wouldn't. Anyway, having rented both an XL and an XLT from Turo (one hybrid and one ecoboost) for a day each, I personally don't think the XLT trim is worth it for an extra 2grand especially when you can add factory cruise control, power locking tailgate, keypad entry and aluminum wheels for far less than 2k.

As for the exact differences, the Ford website is your friend:

https://www.ford.com/trucks/maverick/compare-models/

It all comes down to personal preference.
Just my opinion but I think it's worth it because the xlt has the door keypad and if you are one to lock your keys in the car like me then you would want that. Plus I went to look at an XL hybrid because I now want a Hybrid (but was sold when I got there) I did notice when I looked inside of it that the material used for the seats did not appear to be as good quality as the XLT.

I ordered the XLT wanted some of Lux features. Actually like the orange accents.
Thought about Lariat could not make the brown vinyl jump, no option for cooled seats.

It's nice there are 3 trim levels pretty much most can get what agrees with them.

Good to know. It would be nice if they had a $12-$20/year 3-6 channel plan but it would be such a pain to select them. I may see what 76 is, thanks.
I love Sirius XM, you get all the NFL games on there too, which is handy if you are a sports nut but compelled to run around on a Sunday.

Don't send that card in though. In exchange for the extra couple of months at $2 you agree to lock in for a specified amount of time at the Sirius full rate. Let your trial run its course, at that time they will offer all sorts of deals to get you as a paying subscriber.

Also, everyone arguing about the XL vs XLT...You can't order either one of them! Who knows how the configuration breakdown, colors, etc will look like for the 23'.

XL looks better (objective fact, not opinion 😊) and is significantly cheaper, even when adding the cruise control in afterwards.

Seriously though, they are both good choices.
As an owner of an XL, I would have to agree with this statement. Sure, cruise control might be the one option that would have been great, but I can't justify spending the $2200 or farting around with Forscan for the sake of adding it, the same way I couldn't justify spending $3300 on AWD when most other car companies have AWD as an option for $1500.

Yep on the $2 offer it was not clear when cancellation could be done. But I think it was about $22-23 after 90 day extension was over. I bought a frontier pickup in 2018 and got 2-4 offers a month by mail for three years plus phone calls from time to time. I turn radio on occasionally but the wife does about 1/2 time. She also likes to listen to audio books on cd when she travels alone. Do not think maverick has CD player so maybe can download to phone memory and Bluetooth to radio. Hopefully don't have to USB a CD player to maverick as I don't want it floating around with disks. In any case I will not do Sirius unless I do not have to give a credit card number and can get access for 5 years for $20 total. (Just in case someone riding along wants it).

For those of us that are trying to squeeze mpg from hybrid maverick.
Went to town last Saturday for 5 gal diesel for my 1986 Ford 1210 tractor and cringing at $5.29/gallon saw at the adjacent pump a new F350 super duty diesel pickup (I think the guy said it had 48 gallon tank) being fueled up which was towing a triple axle boat trailer. The boat (30+ footer?) was an inboard with about a 16-18" prop and was being fueled at the same time from the next set of pumps. The boat trailer had dealer tags on trailer which had never been wet yet! The price of 87 was $4.29. I did not look to see what octane wass going into boat's tank!
Did you look to see how much the guy spent before he drove away? Had to be several hundred I would guess. 😲

Don't forget nicer wheels, nicer grill and front strip (yes guys, it's ok to care a little about the looks too). Pretty sure adding all of those things together would be at least $2k plus more effort. But of course if you don't care about those things then it's fine, but I feel like your comment kind of left those things out of the $2k difference in cost...

No I did not look. Nor did I ask. Just from size of boat I would expect 80 gallons but could be more. I think. Some people live with the decimal in a different location. Just a guess but $500-$700??
