Did not reorder but,

The Ford Dealership I ordered the MY 22 contacted me in August about reordering for the MY 23 since I was one of the many unlucky ones that placed an order that Ford couldn't build. I sent the manager an email two days later stating that I received her message, and I was not interested in reordering and playing the lottery game any longer. This morning I received an email from Ford on my 2023 order. I did not reorder so the dealership reordered in my name without my authorization. I have sent the manager an email along with the string that stated I did not want to reorder but, I do not expect to hear back from her. Besides the customer service number that I found was useless in trying to get help/information, is there another number to call to get this ordered cancelled?

The dealership may have just auto ordered all of their unscheduled 22s because the timeline for ordering 23 is so short?

You cannot cancel the order.... The dealership submitted the order, the dealership would have to cancel it.

Yeah, I suspect Ford would just send you back to the dealer to sort it out anyway. If you don't get an email back from the dealer in a reasonable amount of time you might have to go in person, if the dealership isn't too far away.

I did not give the dealership permission to use my name and license to reorder. The email from Ford came in at 12:33 this morning, meaning the dealership placed the order within the last 48 hours although I specifically put it in writing more than 30 days ago I was not reordering.

They won't have needed your license to order. Just last name (and they obviously used your email). They would need license and your signature to complete the optional COVP.

Because Ford is changing the allocation process....there is really no incentive for the dealer to put in fake retail orders.

They probably just transferred all of their unscheduled 22 orders to 23.

It sounds like the dealer was really trying to be the "good guy" here by making sure that that all their unfilled 22 orders were entered as 23 orders.

It sounds like people will lose out on their price protection by not getting an order in before the order book closes today or tomorrow. I suspect next week there will be lots of posts by people with 22 orders who missed out and are rightfully upset because they did not have dealers that are as good as yours was trying to be.

I would just chill out even though they missed your email telling them not to reorder.

They are slammed this week with the order books closing abruptly so just wait a week and then call them next week to tell them to cancel your order.
