Delay backup camera video

Hi, has anyone noticed that there’s a slight delay after switching to reverse before the back up camera video appears on the screen. My cars in the past and even my wife’s Lexus switches instantly when I put it in reverse, but I’ve noticed like slight delay before the video appears on screen for my Maverick. It’s not a long delay but it’s not instant. Curious to see if anyone else is having this experience.

If its First Thing right after starting, the entire system is still "booting up" and there is a slight delay.

Once the truck has been running for a minute, shifting to reverse the camera comes on near instantly in mine.

That's probably true for all.

That's probably true for all.

That's great that yours is working right. Your "booting up" statement is irrelevant to this conversation. I'm talking about after driving for about an hour, then backing up into my driveway or into a parking spot at work.

On your 8" screen in the settings options when the vehicle is in acc mode there is option in the video mode to set a delay for the backup camera. You may want to make sure that is turned off.

My understanding of that feature is it keeps the video on longer - the delay is a delay in turning it off. When you shift to drive, the video stays on until you exceed 5mph in the forward direction.

This is correct. We I am unsure about the speed but it does keep the screen on longer than normal.

Others have pointed out that is not for a delay on but a delay off. Sorry for my ignorance.

Yeah, I checked it this morning. It's already off, but when you turn it on all it does is keep the back up camera on after backing up and return to N or D. But thanks for joining the conversation. I don't think this is a big deal that requires me to go to the dealership at this point. Maybe when it's time for an oil change and asked them to take a look. It's slight delay in the camera showing up on the screen but it's not the end of the world so I can leave with it for now.
