On my XLT Lux truck, I purchased a new wireless adaptor as well as a wireless charger. Both require being plugged in and they are both still new and unused in their boxes. For me, I find it cleaner to just plug in my phone with a short cable and a 90* addaptor plugging into the truck. Minimal wiring, clean and it works. I then have my phone's capability via Apple Car Play on the truck's center screen. Voice messaging, Sirius, Nav, etc.

I know this doesn't mean much in this conversation -- since I have SiriusXM native with the Sync 3 on my '23 Lariat Lux, so I don't have to rely on a phone/Bluetooth connection for that -- but SiriusXM will say it's searching for a satellite signal until I pull out of my basement garage. Meanwhile, I can turn off Wi-Fi on my phone, and it will still start up and play the SiriusXM app while I'm in the garage, with the garage door closed. Yeah, it's probably the truck's antenna vs. my cell signal.

His issue is not how he is streaming Sirrus be it wifi or cellular. His issue is inconsistent connection issues from his phone to Sync 3 via Bluetooth. Please stay on topic and stop trolling with the "trying to be rude" comments.
Actually, the OP stated he loses audio for a few seconds every time he leaves his house. It usually takes my phone until I get to the entrance of my neighborhood to register that it left the wi-fi range, which will also kill any streaming audio that isn't buffered.

That said, Bluetooth is very sensitive to interference and modern phones generally use the low-power version. I would 100% suggest getting a quality USB-C cable and just plugging the device in. Other than Waze getting messed up during the aforementioned cutover to LTE, I have zero issues with it once it is up and running.

The way to test this would be to turn off bluetooth, start Sirius playing in the garage (playing over iPhone speaker) and then start your drive. If Sirius hiccups 2-3 blocks from the house, then it's probably not bluetooth.
I will try this method. and report back.

I also have random "connection lost" then "re-connecting" while I am on the road. I only use Sirius\XM while I am in the car. It could be their app as I do not use any other streaming service.

I have exactly the same problem. Most of the time, switching from wifi to cellular doesn't seem to be the culprit. It often happens when I am simply out somewhere else. It does sometimes happen when I pull away from my house but it's random enough to think that the wifi/cellular changeover is not the major cause of it.

There is definitely a bluetooth disconnection issue, it's the truck not the phones.
Hey there. I can look into your Maverick’s Bluetooth concerns on my end if you’d like. Will you send us a private message with your VIN and dealership info?

Have you been able to rule out a problem specific to audio from your Sirius XM app? If not, it might be worthwhile to try streaming audio from other apps on your phone. If there's an interruption in your connection when switching from WiFi to cellular it might cause problems with the Sirius app. Another experiment you could try would be to turn off WiFi before starting the streaming from Sirius. That might help to tell you whether the WiFi/Cell handoff could be part of the issue. If other folks aren't having this same kind of issue then maybe it could be a problem specific to your phone or Maverick.

My Maverick did this today while 3 miles away from my house. It happens all the time while I’m driving, it has nothing to do with a transition from Wi-Fi to cellular data. The Maverick head unit drops Bluetooth connection all by itself. It gets confused between wired and wireless connections as well. Unfortunately it is the situation and I’m not sure what they will do to correct it. I have an iPhone 12 up to date. My 2013 Volvo had a flawless Bluetooth connection and never dropped in the 9 years I owned it.

Are people losing Bluetooth in the middle of phone calls too? I should have my xlt Hybrid in another week or two.Wondering how bad is it? I will plug in for other things like google maps . Although being able to get text messages while Bluetooth connected would be nice too.
