Honest question: If I order a new Maverick (or any other car/truck I suppose) with "Dealer Installed Accessories" who pays for the installation of those accessories? Floor mats and a bed mat don't really count, but how about the more complicated things like bed lights or a security system? I'm thinking that if I order it from the factory it should come to me installed for the purchase price and I don't care who has to install it. Apparently, there are differing opinions. Thanks.

My salesman installed the bed mat and tailgate protector as a courtesy, but you are responsible for installation costs. Consider this a before-delivery negotiable item, but I doubt you will be able to get it installed for the cost in Ford's accessory web-site.

if it is ordered from the factory as an option, then it doesn't have additional install cost. I ordered the 2022. I ordered from the dealer and installed the bed mat, tailgate mat and hood bug shield myself. The dealer would've charged for those installs if I hadn't done it myself.

That makes perfect sense but I'm asking about things I ordered as part of the original factory contract. Are these things sold for the given price "Plus Installation" or is the installation included in the sale price?

I ordered a few things in addition to the lux package for my XLT and there were no installation charges. All this should be detailed at the time of sale or when you add them on. Get all in writing. Here's my final invoice that I got before delivery and it's what I paid.

When I ordered my Maverick, it included a Dealer Installed Option (DIO). The parts arrived a day after delivery so the dealership installed them while I waited.

You only got a peice of my reply. Unless there has been some horrible change to the system, If it is ordered from the factory as an option, then it doesn't have additional install cost. All the items I ordered from the factory, (mud flaps, Lux package, etc) came without additional cost.

If it is a "DIO", and listed on the window sticker, then Ford pays the dealer to install. You shouldn't be paying anything extra.

If you ordered accessories from the dealer (that are not included on the window sticker), then you may have to pay for the installation.

I ordered my truck with hood deflector, window deflectors, wheel locks, and securipad key pad.
I picked up the truck a few days ago, nothing was on it. They said just schedule a time to come get them put on, will take about an hour.. today he calls me, and tells me that I have to pay to have them installed. $600 for everything to be put on.
I told him it's just stick on accessories I'll do it myself. Now I can't get my keypad to work. Am I wrong thinking if they are on my original order window sticker I should not have to pay labor? They should have been on when I picked up.
