I'd posted awhile back in another of the many dash rattle threads that I'd found a solution for the dreaded dash rattle. It eliminated the worst of the dash noise in my Maverick. That post was here

Since doing that I still had a minor but annoying rattle, especially noticeable on bumpy roads, that I couldn't track down. I'm pretty OCD and that just wouldn't do.
I had a roll of this

that I bought thinking I'd use it on my fender flares. On a hunch, I decided to place some strips of it on my handy but cheap plastic glove box organizer I'd purchased from Amazon. I ran two strips on the two larger bottom "legs" that were touching the box floor, and two more along the sides. It went back in promisingly snug.
Went on a short drive to test my theory, and was rewarded with a completely rattle free cabin.
Those of you who have the plastic glove box organizers and a mysterious dash rattle might want to look into doing this before turning a dealership loose on your dash!
