dash rattle found and fixed on 25 XLT hybtrid

This sounds like the same rattle in my 2025 Tremor. It was extremely annoying. The fix was a small shim placed between the panels as shown in the picture. Rattle now gone. I suspect the parts weren't fully mated during assembly.

Mine sounds like it's from the passenger side dash up by the windshield and is more like a clicking sound.

Sounds like the windshield alignment pins, especially if it sounds like tapping and it gets worse in the cold.

You consider that a "small" shim? Looks like a home A/C filter jammed in there....LOL Just kidding of course....but I would look for something a little smaller that still worked.

Windshield alignment pins? I just noticed it in the cold weather but when the cabin warms up sometimes the noise seems to go away.

Yes. Recommend searching here and on Google to find the thread. They're used to align the windshield to the body. And when alignment is off, that plastic starts making noise as it runs against the metal.

You consider that a "small" shim? Looks like a home A/C filter jammed in there....LOL Just kidding of course....but I would look for something a little smaller that still worked.

It's a composite shim from Home Depot. It was cut from a middle section to fit. It's a bit large so that when placed it could be pulled out if it didn't work. Three weeks now and no rattle.

I ordered some 'U' rubber trim that fit perfectly all the way across. It looks like factory install. Ford should be using it at factory. It stopped that particular rattle but still have a passenger side rattle near top of windshield. Disappointed in Ford for not taking care of this longstanding problem by now at factory.

1/16 L10. I was guessing but worked great.

There are several places depending on the rattle location. I had a rattle on the left side of my dash. Stuffed various materials & thicknesses until I tried ArizonaBills idea. It worked!!!
I did have to stuff it in deep with a plastic pry tool:

Where did you stuff it?

I slid it on one of the two plastic pieces across top of instrument panel sothey would no longer rub/touch (rattle) pics attached
