That's what 10 foot USB cables are for...lolJust so you know you can still use your phone while plugged in to CarPlay and Android auto. Although I guess the cable might not reach into the back seats.
Just don't tell her that's what it's for. She might go bats×#@ and take a baseball bat to your dash.Sometimes I like to know how long my girlfriend is in the store or how long it takes to get somewhere ...I think a good bright stop watch would be a interesting thing to put there ? the more I think about it I might just figure a way to make a mount that would fit and look good maybe use velcro to hold it in ? Any thoughts from anyone ?

Thanks, was hoping a Hawaiian hulu bobble head would fit in there but they are 7 inches. not sure about the cubby behind the screen.

This might be the best idea so far. Maybe mount the phone in a way that lets you use the camera as a dash cam too. Ford should really make this cubby a part of their FITS system so we can 3D print something.Old android phone running Torque bluetoothed to OBDII ……custom whatever you want
Do it Joe!Do you think someone will build a phone holder that could be attached in the cubby? That's what I am thinking would work nice...... I do the magnet deal type and it would be right in line with the screen that way..
Yes great. Do it!As I wait for my hybrid, I'm trying to enjoy every last moment driving my '02 Civic. It will undoubtedly be the last manual transmission vehicle I own. Or will it... thinking of taking my gear-shift knob and having it protrude from the dash cubby in my Maverick.
