Just so you know you can still use your phone while plugged in to CarPlay and Android auto. Although I guess the cable might not reach into the back seats.
That's what 10 foot USB cables are for...lol

Sometimes I like to know how long my girlfriend is in the store or how long it takes to get somewhere ...I think a good bright stop watch would be a interesting thing to put there ? the more I think about it I might just figure a way to make a mount that would fit and look good maybe use velcro to hold it in ? Any thoughts from anyone ?

Just don't tell her that's what it's for. She might go bats×#@ and take a baseball bat to your dash.

Has anyone figured out a good use for the cubby by the radio?

Thanks, was hoping a Hawaiian hulu bobble head would fit in there but they are 7 inches. not sure about the cubby behind the screen.

Saw that site - do you have a picture with it in there or didn't fit.
Still did not look like a bubble head thou

Was looking at something like this one.

Old android phone running Torque bluetoothed to OBDII ……custom whatever you want
This might be the best idea so far. Maybe mount the phone in a way that lets you use the camera as a dash cam too. Ford should really make this cubby a part of their FITS system so we can 3D print something.

Do you think someone will build a phone holder that could be attached in the cubby? That's what I am thinking would work nice...... I do the magnet deal type and it would be right in line with the screen that way..
Do it Joe!

I think it would be nice if console vault made a smaller one for there.

I can think of a few odds and ends that I might lock up in a tiny safe.

As I wait for my hybrid, I'm trying to enjoy every last moment driving my '02 Civic. It will undoubtedly be the last manual transmission vehicle I own. Or will it... thinking of taking my gear-shift knob and having it protrude from the dash cubby in my Maverick.

Could look a lot like the Civic Si from the same era. Please do it.
