Agreed. People are so impatient these days. Like a bunch of little kids. 😁

Ford pushed hard on the Hybrid, a lot of us jumped all over it because of the high mileage etc. But the reality is that Ford was not ready to sell Hybrids in volume numbers, they were ready to sell EB’s in volume numbers and they probably knew it and yes we have a chip shortage and other supply restrictions but the main restriction is the Hybrid engine and transmissions. They are not building enough period and it will be quite awhile before they do. If you really want the Hybrid then you will have to stick it out. There will be those who will jump to the EB’s, that may just make things a little better but it will still take awhile.

Another classic internet forum post. Heavy on opinion, short on facts.

I think they are doing spary-in bedliners with the lux package just not stand alone.
I have the Luxury package and my dealer just told me that my order is held up because of the spray in bedliner even though it's part of the Luxury Package. I will just sit and wait until the Factory spray in bedliner that's included with the Luxury Package is ready.

Another classic internet forum post. Heavy on opinion, short on facts.
Ok I'll give you just one Fact that's all I will need. On or about July 30th 2021 Bobinmi opened a thread that spoke about his girlfriend who works at the ECVT plant or something to that effect. He quotes his girlfriend as saying "they built 100 yesterday and 20 today (transmissions) they will be shipped soon. After that post he updates by saying "transmission line down employees sent home" and finishes the update with they had built 200 CVT's in the previous four weeks before having to retool the line.

Additional post states "This past Saturday (August 7th) we built 139 maverick ecvt trannies"

I could go on and on but you get the idea. Does that sound like Ford was ready to deliver the product they were promising us (The amazing new Ford Maverick Hybrid truck)? They were and are not ready to deliver on the Hybrid truck and that FACT is cristal clear. They are ready to deliver the truck with the EcoBoost, that is another FACT.

Will Ford be ready to deliver on the Hybrid within six months? probably but not this month or the month after that or the month after that. So there are the facts and it's best just to accept them. If you want to prove me wrong go for it, if you are right I'll give you all the credit.

As for Tim, he is hands down one of the best car/truck guys period, If I lived anywhere near him I would probably take him to lunch and dinner and buy every car and truck from him, he is an asset to his dealer and to the community in general. But he is no Mother Teresa, he helps run a business for Profit and I respect that. He will sell you the truck at MSRP not Invoice and not 4% under invoice and that is Ok. I think he is as trustworthy as they come. He hasn't gone back on anything he has ever said that I can think of but what I stated above is not a Myth it is as close to a FACT as possible.

You don't have to agree with it and yes it is my opinion. I don't just make things up to sound like a smart guy. I just pay attention. I will continue offering my opinion and I hope that at least it will be somewhat informative and entertaining.

I plan to hang in there as long as it takes to get the hybrid. I still stand behind what I said.

"God Bless America" and may God protect our Troops.

I just got off the phone with a person at the 1-800 number. She listed about 5 things that would hold up an order as of today. The good news is that she did not mention spray in Berliner, nor did she list the hybrid! What she did list were drop in Bedliner and several things that pertained to the bed, like dividers and such. Also the special red paint job. Keep hope alive!

According to Tim at McArthur, Ford is currently building 60% EB and 40% Hybrid. I would be very surprised if total demand for the hybrid exceeds 40% of the build. Seems to me things are moving along mostly as planned given supply constraints. We shall see....

Why do I keep getting told I'm incorrect? This is exactly what my dealer told me.
You are absolutely correct in that your dealer told you that. However, your dealer appears to be wrong in stating that spray in liners in the lux packages are holding up production on those vehicles. It doesn’t change anything for you either way.

Not true. But, it makes for a plausible-sounding post. 👍

Unfortunately, it is true IF YOU UNDERSTAND MANUFACTURING. Resources will be allocated to the highest profit margin product in an environment of scarcity. If the highest profitable vehicle can not be made because of the scarcity of a particular part, those parts will be allocated to the next profitability tier down.

NO!!!, they are not going to hold on to parts just waiting for a single part to make 1 vehicle that brings $2000 profit when they could make 5 vehicles that make $1500 profit in the same time period. By the same logic, they are not going to skip tier 2 and go to tier 3 and make 5 vehicles that make $500 profit in the same time period.

It all deals with the logistics of distribution and Just in time inventory. If there were no issues with the inventory we would see more of a first ordered, first built situation.

Profitability is important Quarterly for publicly traded companies because it affects stock price.
