Unless you're doing Uber, an in-cabin camera does nothing except capture you doing embarrassing things.

That’s what I was thinking Richard however with a digital rear view mirror you can only see what the cameras see so there’s no view of the backseat area and the incabin camera has a very short cord being it is designed to be installed above the rearview mirror I first thought of moving it back in the cab to take my beautiful mug out of sight but that may be a project for another day lol

Just got confirmation the rear camera bracket is scheduled to be delivered today (3 days early) this will be the last part of the installation being I have not decided if I’m going to install the 3rd in cabin camera I keep going back and forth on this and definitely haven’t identified the best spot to mount it if I choose to install it..

The in cab camera can be useful in an insurance claim to prove that you were not distracted when an accident happened. It can also do the opposite of course. I also wonder where to mount it if I get one. I’d prefer it to be hidden from my view in the passenger side, but I also really want it to record the driver and not be staring my wife in the face, who won’t appreciate being on candid camera.

Got the new Crossroads 3D WolfBox Rear Camera Mount for the 3rd Brake Light today. The materials are a good quality as well as the 3D Printing. The installation was very easy and all the parts fit well together and all the screw holes lined up perfect. This camera mount is specifically for the WolfBox G900 TriPro Rear Camera and is designed to mount on the 3rd Brake Light using the two OEM center screws it is my understanding this mount will fit multiple Mavericks and F-150 Models years.

i added a few few pictures to show the Mount and the views after installation - I feel the camera is very well protected from the elements and it is very secure I would have no worries going through a high pressure cash wash with this unit.

Note the camera has to be mounted upside down compared to the original brackets supplied by WolfBox which is not a problem - if you go to settings on the dash cam and ”Flip” the view that is corrected, you will also need to go to the “reverse line” option and switch that as well so the view is correct in the image left to right.

I’m really impressed with the quality the angle seems fine I know the picture may not do it justice but it’s good. The WolfBox has so many setting you can adjust the view without physically moving the camera and the range of adjustments are pretty good - I really like how sturdy the mount is this baby ain’t moving it’s a well thought out design - the hood over the camera lense protects it from dew or water dripping onto the lense everything is true with close tolerances and the mount lines up perfect with the OEM holes on the brake light…

I really like this. Been trying to figure out a solution. Even bought a morimoto 3rd brake light with camera hole from an f150 but the angle was point right at the bed so useless as a rear view.

Would be curious about possible red light bleed washing out at night. Would it be possible to get a night time shot from what the Wolfbox is showing while applying the brake?

My driveway is dark with street lights behind me so the pictures are not as clear as it is driving down the road at night - one photo with no brake light the other with my foot on the brake

I was in the process of scanning the camera and the rear sliding glass track to 3D print a new base to hang on the inside with a little more rigidity over the adjustable mount the camera comes with.

no problem I was curious as well since I just installed it this afternoon - I have a Yakima basket on the truck now which is pretty high you can see the bar illuminated I’d say if I removed the basket you may not even notice the brake light at all

Excellent JD - I think you’ll be happy with it, the installation is easy just a note leave a few inches of the camera wire so you can tuck it inside the mount enclosure so it will lay flat there is a sunken area on the part that sit on the 3rd brake light on both sides to route the wire in the bottom of the mount in both directions to allow you to go into the brake light enclosure on the left or right side of the bracket….

Automatic High Pressure Brushless Wash Results

I took the Maverick in for her first high pressure brushless wash since installing the WolfBox G900 TriPro Camera and Crossroads 3D exterior 3rd Brake Light Rear Camera Mount and I couldn’t be more pleased with the results.

The clarity of the Rearview Camera less than 15 seconds after exiting the wash bay was impressive, the exterior camera mount performed just as I was hoping.

i attached a few photos of the view while in the wash bay and one showing the mount after I got back home - absolutely no issues…
