Creaking brake pedal fix

Sharing in case this can help anyone else. My 2025 Hybrid with only 4K miles on it started making a creaking/clicking noise on the brake pedal. I took it in and the EBB (Electronic Brake Booser) was found to be faulty and repaired under warranty. It did take a whole day in the shop though, just FYI.

Curious if your brake pedal made the noise every time when you applied the brakes? My 2025 AWD Hybrid seems to make the same creaking noise you are describing but it does it sporadically. I'll be keeping an eye on it for sure and thanks for the info.

Interesting and thanks for the data point. Something else for me to keep an eye on (and an ear in this case I guess, lol).

In prior MY posts about the same end issue - some heard like clicking noises too.

For some the clicking was the brake interlock - but that sound is right there under the middle area.

But a few others did follow it up to firewall and it was louder on EBB side.

So couple sounds it could be.

Did you notice it interfering with the smooth handoff from regen braking to the pad braking at faster speeds?
(I say faster, that slow handoff when coming to stop can always be a tad non-smooth)
