1st Pic shows driving lights,

2nd pic/ video, is opening truck with fob.

3rd pic/. Video is left and right directionals. Then hazards.

Driving lights flash in videos because of PWM.
Your truck's LED lights flash on video because of Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) and a mismatch with your camera's shutter speed.

Probably shouldn't be replacing OEM headlights with cheap non-DOT approved aftermarket stuff

I think the lights on my 2023 Mav are pretty good. To spend another 500 bucks on aftermarket are they really better?? I sure would like to see some comparisons. I would need to be convinced they are really worth it. Just by your own observation are they better?, If so how? Wider beam? longer beam? better overall coverage? Oh how hard was it to change them? Time?

Yes not approved DOT stuff. I have used non DOT headlights for near 10 years now, no problems and never flashed that has more to do with aiming the lights. I did find I prefer LED bulbs in a stock reflector better than projectors as in Cathy's new Tremor. They have a wide pattern low beam instead of the spot patter found in protector housings. Maybe I'm lucky with city county and state LEOs, the choice is yours!

Only reason I got them , they were cheaper than factory ones, after a lady hit us head on .

Tangent point, but I would have never thought I would like the auto-high-beam-dimmer feature, but yet I find I really appreciate it on the Mav. As a result, my initial instinct to add driving lights has diminished significantly. I find the basic lights are decent enough, and the automatic sensitivity is just right so I don't even think about it anymore.

That said, we'll see what the dark and rainy nights of a coastal winter do to that opinion... ;-)

To be fair, I'm comparing the Maverick to our 2022 Hyundai Palisade lights which excels at providing full road coverage. Side coverage is exceptional. I do agree the side illumination is horrible with these trucks, adding fog lights helped quite a bit. This is ultimately why I added ditch lights as well.
