Get Michelin Defenders (not Michelin Primacy) Defenders last twice as long.
Its well known that the stock Continental tires for the maverick have extremely thin side walls in order to save weight. Continental is a very good brand normally, but the stock tire is on the lower end of thier line up. Sorry I have no knowledge of the Continental tire shortage currently reported here. I hope they upgrade to a better tire in lou of the stock Continentals. I will soon find out, as my Hybrid XLT is scheduled to be built at the end of the month. 🤟= Maverick Wave

I wanted to get some better tires for my truck once I paid it off. I planned on keeping the stock tires in case of future availability issues for that size.

I had looked at Continental CrossContact LX25 on Les Schwabs website a couple weeks ago.

Well, went there today to check on price/availability on those tires.

They told me they didn’t have any in their store or warehouse but could still get them.
They told me that the US factory that makes those got destroyed by a tornado a couple weeks ago.

They don’t even list Continentals on their website now.

That explains the sudden tire supply problem Ford now has for the stock XL/XLT Continental tires.
The 225/65R17, as well as the 225/60R18 LX 25 are both in stock and available to order. I'd love to help!

I can get them through Les Schwab, they just don’t have a warehouse of them now.

I prefer to use them because they offer lifetime repairs, free tire replacement if damaged, and have absolutely superb customer service.
The only thing they don’t offer is some of the major brands I.e. Bridgestone, Michelin Goodyear, etc. That’s fine with me. Never had a tire brand blow me away compared with others. Had some brands I wouldn’t buy again though. Contis have always been pretty good quality for me.

I'm glad several people mentioned the Continentals are made in Mexico. Just got a 2023 XLT last month, new at the dealer, and noticed the tires were made in Mexico, so I was wondering what in the world was going on here.

So you enjoy overpaying for tires, lol. Les Schwab is such a rip off. Every single tire they sell, especially if you order it, is marked up. They will literally finance anyone. It's basically a "bad credit" tire shop. They are not what they used to be years ago.

Every single time I've checked for tires in the past 3 years I've gone to them for a quote then shopped online at Discount and the price has been easily $300 less or more. And they offer the same stuff. I'd rather go to a random mom & pop tire shop than overpay for in house brand tires.

tirerack.com has them to include a $100 rebate.

I run their Crosscontact ATR Tires, same super light weight, a little more aggressive tread, same diameter but an inch wider in the OEM 225 size due to the more square shoulder, and actually less expensive. I’ve been pleased with this more capable tire on my Hybrid while keeping the OEM weight. Also on the tire rack site.
.
How do you like the CrossContact ATR tires so far? Road noise and handling? I've been looking at those tires but they are quite new with no reviews but they are super cheap if I apply for the rebate and use Continental Tire credit card for an additional rebate of $110. $220 total in rebates. It's either the ATR or the CrossContact LX25 for a well reviewed and less aggressive tire.

*Edit: Since you are a Hybrid buddy, how's the MPG on the ATR?

I like them after 8k miles, no noise, no discernible wear, and no change in MPG. They handle a little different than the pliable stock tires, a little more solid. I recall they are the same OEM weight and diameter, but a inch wider tread due to the more square shoulders. I would purchase them again.
