All, I have successfully found all the settings in the BCM to change to eliminate hyper flashing. I have all first gen Lasfit LEDs including switchback turn signals, reverse lights, rear braking and turn signal lights, and third brake lights.

See the photo below.

Under BCM you can filter to “outage” to get them all in one place. I did them one at a time but in total there should be around 4 or 5 to disable.

Note: the screenshot is just the BCM filtered to the word “outage” I did not change all of these settings that are shown.

Edit: highlighted in yellow

Where are you located, I'm in South East Florida and would like to find someone to fix this issue after I do the recall. I think the LEDs offer superior lighting compared to the factory bulbs

Which ones did you change exactly to remove the hyperflashing?

He just turned off the notification of any possible non working bulbs. So he won't see the hyper flash if he actually has a bulb burn out. The ones highlighted are the ones he changed to disabled!

Could this cause an insurance issue in the event of an accident?

i dont think so, I've never had a car tell me that the lights were burned out
really? even in old cars with blinker relays would hyper flash with a bad bulb.

I highly doubt if you got in an accident that anyone is going to plug in the module to check to see if you disabled the bulb out notifications.

Thank you very much for posting this. I just bought a 2024 and was wondering if LED bulbs would cause hyper flashing. Nice to know there is a work around.

To be clear, does this actually keep the bulbs from hyperflashing or just the dash light and flasher unit from overacting(hyperflashing)??? Please be clear.

Thanks much.

To be clear, the bulbs never hyper-flashed to begin with. What hyper-flashed was the "clicker" and light on the dashboard, since the truck sees low resistance LED bulbs and thinks it means an incandescent bulb has blown out. Since the circuit is seeing low resistance (an incandescent bulb would show really high resistance by design).

All the coding modifications do is tell the truck to not notify you when it thinks there is a bulb burned out. Simple as that. The bulbs were never hyper-flashing.

Thank you. This worked for my 2023 EB with a full set of LASFit LEDs. Initially, I followed another thread that suggested I disable just the bulb turn outage entries, but that was not sufficient in my case. I had to disable all the entries shown in this screenshot.

As a side issue, I reported this issue to LASFit who sent me a set of front turn signal and rear taillight LED's to try. These were a newer generation of bulbs than what I had on my truck. The new bulbs did not resolve the hyperflash, but I highly appreciate the fact that they sent me a set of bulbs to try at no cost.
