Trickle charge or just remote start it from wherever on the planet you are once a week.

I only recommend the remote start because it is outside.
Remember that remote start locks the truck, if it's not already.

So I'm going on vacation in a little over a week (flying, not driving). After seeing all the posts here and on FB about people having issues with their trucks going into battery saving mode, I'm a little concerned about my 2024 Lariat Hybrid being parked for that long.

The manual talks about disconnecting the battery or using a trickle charger for vehicles being stored longer than 30 days. Should I be worried? Anyone have any experience to share about their truck being parked for 15ish days? I could easily disconnect the battery, although losing all my settings will be a pain. I've had it almost month and just got everything set right! 🙂
Had a spell of good weather here and rode my bike for 10 days. No problems\issues at all.

So, I decided not to do the remote starts and just see what happened. On the 14h day, 8 hours before I was due home, I got the notice that it was going into battery saving mode and remote functions weren't available. Lost access to all data from the app, but it started right up when I got home.

Yep. Worked as advertised. Was worried it would go into sleep mode faster and be dead by the time I got home.

I bet it would take a couple months before you lost enough charge to start the vehicle.

When my dad was an airline pilot, he would use a solar charger plugged into the cigarette socket to allow the battery to stay topped off when his airport vehicle was left in the lot for longer periods (generally during training).

Mine sits in the garage all week without running. Its a weekend vehicle, no problems for almost 2 years.

I have had on and off battery drain issues with my Hybrid XLT (built March 2022) since taking delivery, that is until now - Recall Notice 24S27 which replaced the Body Control Module (BCM) seems to have corrected this problem. In the past I have had periods of anywhere from 4 to 8 months in which I DID NOT have a battery drain issue. This includes long periods of time (2 weeks +) in which I did not operate or even turn the vehicle on. One such time being this past January during the coldest two weeks of the season, with the truck parked outside (not garaged) and it started right up after 17 days. I suspect that if you are not experiencing a battery drain issue currently, that you will have no problem in leaving your truck parked for 14 days.
By the way, this whole notion of, "you have to drive your hybrid to keep the 12v battery charged," is a bit of a myth. It's a simple excuse that's was propagated by Ford and unfortunately parroted by many hybrid owners. A 12v battery in ANY hybrid vehicle should not experience an excessive drain issue simply because it was not being driven. If you are experiencing an excessive drain, then there is some other issue going on. Has I mentioned, recall 24S27 has so far (it's been about 40 days since) as corrected my latest excessive battery drain issue.

I've gone 8 or 9 days without any issue when I had COVID the beginning of the year, no issues and the lights still worked. That said, this is one with a significant caveat, I don't have the tiny OEM T4 battery under the seat, having crammed in a Weize H5/47 AGM maybe two weeks earlier. It dropped maybe 4%-5% in charge during that time, as I monitored it using the BM6 app that connects to the BT monitored still attached, and I had run out to grab things a couple of times, so the doors had been opened and the system woken from sleep a few times.

FWIW, the OEM removed that was fully charged when I put it in the shed dropped something like 40% during the same time while disconnected when I checked it with a VOM.

My story: I just parked it in the carport. After 4 days it went into deep sleep, no connectivity.
Upon returning, it started right up.
I've done this several times, each time the same result.
If it dosn't start: I will call Ford Roadside Service and let them deal with it. It is a "23 Hybrid XLT under warranty. I refuse to do extra stuff that is the responsibility of Ford.
My backup....a Toyota hybrid.
