That channel is pure clickbait.
3 years too late by the time Toyota's truck takes hold.
Yeah, but a hybrid Tacoma isn't even expected until Q3 of 2024: https://www.motortrend.com/news/future-cars-2024-toyota-tacoma-electric-truck/ And rumors are it'll be a little bigger, rather than smaller.Toyota hybrid trucks are built in San Antonio. Pass the mega plant making the electric transmission ( Japanese named ) between my house and ranch. Hit up a conversation with some guys with Toyota ( Maverick just outside the window ) shirts. They where the hybrid managers and lead crew. The specs for the full sized truck where outstanding.
They are of course on track to steal back all levels of hybrid and EVs back from Ford. There is no ‘learning’ curve for them.

Important to compare apples-to-apples. Using the EPA numbers is the only way to do this.Think you got some bad numbers the economy range given by the hybrid guys themselves where 5-6 mpg higher. ( of course they would be real world not EPA ) like the Maverick EPA is lower than most people report in actual use.
The towing numbers dropped my jaw.
