I now have a rear passenger mount for an antenna mount next to the tailgate. Be careful shopping on Amazon. The price range is $15 to $40 for the same mount. I bought a left and right one. The second one is to be installed on the driver's rear for a second antenna. On the BMW 335d I used the driverside for a gain 2/440 and the passenger side for HF antennas screwdriver antenna. I still plan to drill the hole in the center of the roof for a permanent 2 meter antenna. I have to be sure it will fit in my garage.

I am also considering a Larson Electronics 2024 Ford Maverick Aluminum Body Truck No-Drill Antenna Mounting Bracket - (1) 3/4" Hole - 3rd Brake Light Mount. My question is, they say aluminum body. But I have been using a magnetic mount antenna in the interim. Is the roof now steel, whereas before it was aluminum?

Finally, Larson is suggesting I need to know whether I have incandescent bulbs or LEDs in the third lights above the rear window. I am surprised Ford uses two different types. I would have guessed LED. But the photo appears to show incandescent.

Hi. Purchased Maverick in Feb, have the same conumdrum on Ham antenna mounting. I'm considering an on the glass for 144/432, but still need an HF mount. Not willing to drill holes in the new puppy. I drilled a hole in the roof of my 1954 Ford and mounted a 102" CB whip. Not likely to do that again. Could you please give the numbers of the Amazon mounts, will probably put on the left side. Old thread - has anyone found a good wiring path from the bed into the area behind or under the backseat? I see two grommets on each side of the truck, one towards the backs and the other on the same plane in the front, but neither looks like it would get into the cab. Have you found a path?

Can get thru on passenger side plug, it goes above wheel well.

Large grommet on drivers side is said to be blocked by the gas tank.

Very nice install. I am considering something similar. Currently I have a mount near the passenger side read tailgate that holds my dual band antenna. I have an IC-7100 in the truck, so an HF antenna is also in my future. My radio is below the dash. Terry - W6LMJ/N4OLT/A

Does anyone have a picture or a clear explanation of where you make the negative/ground connection in a (2024 if it matters), Maverick Lariat? It appears the the big battery terminal connection under the rear passenger seat is NOT where you connect. So where exactly is that connection made? Thanks I'm having a local mobile stereo/cb installation company do this (in about 12 hours) so hopefully they have done this for other Mavericks and I am not the first.
