First thing that has “broken” on my Hybrid Lariat. I always felt the chrome tips on these switches felt “sharp” , but with no visual defect…yesterday they broke and even one of the switch tips came off.

Multiple breakages? I don’t see any breakage in the picture.

There will certainly be many broken latches on the maverick in the future. The glove box and hood release for example. They are very flimsy. When I open them, I grab much closer to the "pivet" point to put the least amount of stress on the plastic pull handle. Also, the center console lid/catch does not line up well so quite a bit of pressure is needed for the lid catch to close, and the catch itself is getting a little scratched, not visible when the console is closed. I now pull the release handle to open and close the console so there's no binding of the release mechanism. Then it should never break.

Yup, just had those replaced on my ‘20 Escape.
My ‘17 Fusion, that I traded in and has the same switch bank, never had a problem.
When I had the Escape done, the service manager said it is happening on a lot of the Escapes. I just figured it was a bad batch that got sent to that plant once.

Yup. Just had mine replace a couple weeks ago.

Hello, I’m having the same issues. Does the warranty cover this? Thanks, is it an easy fix?

It is covered under the bumper-to-bumper 3/36.
There was also a ‘recall’ like notice sent out, at least for mine, saying there was a one time replacement for longer than that.
They just swap the entire switch module, but they do have to take off the door panel.
Your dealer should take care of this for you.
