I mentioned that others had no problems.
Had to wire my mirror in my Lariat and your post was a big help. Short and succinct and exactly the info I needed for my three wire cable.
It's not a matter of being "homelink enabled," it's that homelink can mimic 99% of the signals out there, including rolling codes and other security features. If your garage door opener is older, there is probably a better chance it's compatible I would say.
I feel like the existing Ford arm is already too short. I would like the mirror to sit up a bit higher so it does not block any view out the front.
Not looking at a mirror arm right now, but typically these mirror arms are double-jointed - one pivot on the glass end and one on the mirror end. Not sure if most people realize that. Should be able to get a lot of adjustment out of them, just might have to move the other pivot.
It does pivot at both ends, and I have adjusted it as high as it will go.. I just wish it was a little higher, as a taller person it kind of blocks a bit of my downward view.
I clicked on each link, and only the one I bolded (and turned yellow where possible) showed as in stock. But when I ordered it, I received a cancellation email within less than 20 minutes.
In regards to the Kia Mirror, all you need to do is go to any Kia dealership website (they are all basically the same) and search with the model # of the part number on the website. This is what I do here in PHX and I can always find the mirror at least 1 or 2 dealerships. It might be slightly more than the ultra-cheap price.
I was looking to order one of these Kia Mirror's but both links state that they are discontinued. Anyone have another link to a site that has them for cheap or does someone have an extra?
Go to your local Kia dealer and see if the either have one or can track one down for you.
Each kia dealer has them, just go to the local kia dealers website, and search for it.
