this cured all my issues with CarPlayI've got the same problem in my '22. It's always been there. Multiple iOS versions, multiple head unit software updates, multiple cables (usb and usb-c) and it's still a problem. And that's if CarPlay starts up on the first try, too. Sometimes it'll take 4-5 minutes, or multiple reseatings of the cable to either the phone or the USB port. Bluetooth works just fine though.
The good thing is that my wife knows not to answer the phone the first time I call her when I get off of work. The bad thing is that sometimes I get an incoming call from someone else before I call her, and have to do the whole dance and explanation that Ford builds technology-handicapped products.
You’re right, I need to give these another look.this cured all my issues with CarPlay

If it does, you might try using a separate charger that plugs into the 12v power point. https://www.amazon.com/Charger-Adapter-Anker-Compact-Charging/dp/B0BPH6S4DN...If you have that plugged into the usb port, and then plug the phone into the other usb port to charge, does the phone CarPlay supersede the wireless unit, or does it only charge the phone?
i have only used Bluetooth but direct wire to USB port will probably knock out Bluetooth. I’ll try both myself and updateYou’re right, I need to give these another look.

So far still works just a little slower to hookup so turn off Bluetooth and plug it in and you charge and listen to your musicYou’re right, I need to give these another look.

Yes!!! Ever since day 1 back in January.Whenever I make a call or receive a call the first time it doesn’t go thru but 2nd time it does anyone else have an issue with this?
USB trumps Bluetoothi have only used Bluetooth but direct wire to USB port will probably knock out Bluetooth. I’ll try both myself and update
I plugged in and left Bluetooth on it still worked but much slower so it charges and playsUSB trumps Bluetooth
the anyfar adapter took all the issues away, phone and CarPlay work great!I think the cords are a big issue here whether it be when you connect your phone directly with a cord or if you use a wireless adapter that has a cord.I use a cordless CarPlay adapter that plugs directly in to the usb port. I say avoid cords and plug straight in.
As Ozarkbeard said above get an adapter for the 12 volt outlet as your phone charging point. That’s where you should charge your phone if needed. You can then charge and be connected via Bluetooth simultaneously. Also if you go the wireless CarPlay route unpair your phone from the truck because you are going to have the adapter paired to the truck. The phone connects through the adapter.
You plug into the cigarette charger port right?I plugged in and left Bluetooth on it still worked but much slower so it charges and plays
Yes every dang time!Whenever I make a call or receive a call the first time it doesn’t go thru but 2nd time it does anyone else have an issue with this?
