Yes I take my mav through a car wash but its touchless and the antenna is just fine. Because of the new paint i wont use a regular automatic car wash with brushes. Hope this helped

I’ve gone to two separate car washes types (rollers and swaying brushes) and have had no problems.

The one by me uses high pressure water jets. No brushes or anything. Think it did a poor job.

Touchless car washes do not do as well as the ones with brushes, but the brushes can pick up loose rocks and such which can and will scratch your paint. There are some brush washes that check their brushes regularly, but there is no guarantee they will miss something or maybe the guy in the pickup truck in front of you left loose nuts and bolts in the bed of his truck. I usually go to the car wash weekly and will use the touchless to brush wash 3 to 1 (one time to the brush wash for every three times to the touchless). I'm 68 years old with a bad back and can't do the hand wash and wax like I did when I was younger.

I've had no issues using a brush car wash for the last 10 months. I replaced the antenna with a stubby just for an inexpensive peace of mind.

Where can I get this stubby?

If you want to use those car wash places the more power to you. However, I’d recommend using a rinseless wash like Optimum No Rinse or similar. Easy to use and does a great job.

When in doubt hand wash
Would love too but hard to do in NJ winters and that's when you need it most. Figure a car wash is preferable to salt all over the truck. Maybe the wand type wash perhaps. I don't know how much good it does but like the idea of the undercarriage spray some car washes do.
