Other 2022 Car Order Options at MSRP?

Looking for the wife, 2022 Z or GR 86 and it's not looking good. My 2022 Mav is on order at below MSRP. So far Toyota dealers are saying MSRP + $5K to order a GR 86. I will not do that and I don't think the new Z will be any better.

Thoughts on trying to get a MSRP + tax + tag deal in these unique times on new model cars?

Yes, this sound like a good plan...just trying to get something in 2022. The other issue, unlikely to really be able to drive either one before buying, not sure.

I am picking up a Bronco Sport Badlands tomorrow at MSRP.

I still have my Maverick on order, will decide after it gets produced whether to keep it, the Bronco Sport, both, or some other permutation.

1/10 purchased a 2022 GR86 Premium at MSRP + $1400 of junk add on dealer options. Not really what I wanted to pay and dealer would not even split difference on the $1400. Car was however almost exactly what we wanted as far as color and options.

This may be the largest Toyota dealer in NC. Most dealers may get one of these a month if they are lucky - almost zero other new Toyotas on the lot. Wife loved the car - it's hers, I would never have gotten the auto . Hope Mav hybrid build will hold for 1/31 with a Feb delivery then need to decide if / what to sell to get back down to 4 cars!

If a dealer is upfront with what their ADM will be at the time of someone choosing to make a purchase then it's up to the buyer to decide if it's worth it.

Playing the game as some Ford dealers have of accepting an order for a given price and then deciding at delivery to hit the buyer with ADM is something else.
